Wisdom of Moms

  • Posted on May 29, 2009 at 10:31 am

It’s about time a site comes out that brings together the wisdom of moms around the globe! Mamapedia is a wonderful site that has great resources for moms, with “one million answers from mom’s who have been there” as a tagline on their site, you know you’re getting some great ‘peer to peer’ feedback.  You can ask questions, post answers and find out more about health, finances, house & home…all in one visit.  It’s like Wikipedia but for a more specific line of topics.

I was impressed with the friendliness of the community when I first stopped by, and as I dug into the site more I realized I was finding good information that I could use in my own life!  Visit MomCentral for other great sites and opportunities like this, where you can review products and sites on your own blog and share your experiences with your readers like I have.

Amazing Difference, Vote

You can make a difference with just a vote.  The Frosted Flakes website is promoting a Plant a Seed contest where small communities with fields that are failing or unsafe can join up and present the need, with a chance to win a new field for their community.  I know driving around my community, that I should be thankful, for we seem to have many newer fields available to our children.

By viewing the videos while voting, you can see there are so many communities out there that are in dire need of better facilities.  I encourage you to go vote for a community near you–or choose a random area that you feel is in need–but go vote and check out the contest.  It’s for a good cause and you can make an amazing difference!
