Work…slow.

  • Posted on December 31, 2008 at 12:49 pm

Work is so slow during the Holidays.  I have actually been looking at other options now that I’ve set myself a career track.  I have been doing excellent mentally but physically I have been sick a few times.  That is frustrating but expected during this time I guess.

My divorce was final in November and I’m working to keep things balanced around the house for the kids.  We had a great holiday, although it was quite different this year.  B was at her dad’s for almost a week and K had plans to head to Angelfire, NM to go on a ski trip with his girlfriend.  He is still there today (set to return on Friday) and I look forward to seeing him.  B came home from her dad’s early on Friday, I think she was ready to be back in her own room with her new stuff.

I’m thankful that so much is going well right now and that I’m able to provide both of them with a place they enjoy being.  I look forward to writing more here now that I feel a little more free to do so.  Things behind me, journeys ahead!

Windows Mobile SmartPhones

MomCentral has a great tour and information about SmartPhones…which I happen to use myself.  I say enough about how my productivity has increased since I started synching my Google Calendar with my Samsung Blackjack II, along with storing all my contacts and other information so that I can take it with me anywhere.

One of the newest touch screens out right now is the Samsung Omnia, and many are impressed with the features that are offered.  If you like taking photos of events during the Holidays, the Omnia’s digital camera coupled with the stay-in-touch features of a SmartPhone are great for you.  You can shoot photos, crop them, post them online, and even send them to others via your phone using Windows Mobile.

You would expect to pay tons of money for all these features but the Omnia comes in at only $199 and you can get more information on it at the Windows Mobile site.

Safeway Offers Rewards

MomCentral has introduced another great opportunity for us to save and get rewards.  I’m just passing on the news to you, but Safeway has a Safeway Club Card that gives you gas rewards for shopping at their stores.  This bonus counts even when filling prescriptions or purchasing gift cards for others.

If you visit this site you can enter your zip code and find the nearest store to you.  The rewards add up automatically so there’s no calculating to be done, just shop and benefit!

Mom Central Holiday Gift Guide

  • Posted on December 3, 2008 at 2:50 am

This post is just a quick note to inform you that Mom Central is hosting a great Gift Guide for the upcoming Holidays.  An easy to use page will lead you to some great ideas for gift giving this season.

Mom Central is a great location to find a myriad of things reviewed so that you can be a better informed parent.  If you want to get involved in reviews and some fun activities that Mom Central puts out, visit the registration page, too.  I have had great fun writing about items or sites for them.

With Moms influencing 85% of all household purchases, how can anyone go wrong with trying to market directly to us?  I have enjoyed exploring and working with this site for quite some time and I invite you to utilize it for some gift giving ideas or information.
