The Dangerous Days of Daniel X grabbed my doesn’t-read-very-much-these-days teenage son and I found him reading page after page. I was extremely pleased with this because I find reading to be a wonderful way to gain knowledge and enjoy time away from the daily grind. My daughter is an avid reader and will tear through a book very quickly, but to get my son to read can be a bit trickier.I was skeptical that he would like this book and I felt I would be the only one enjoying the page turning, but I heard him mention to his girlfriend that he was reading it and she insisted when he was done that he pass it on to her, too. Apparently James Patterson has a pretty good name when it comes to teen reading lists. Here’s a quick description of this book, offered by Little, Brown & Co.
The greatest superpower of all isn’t to be part spider, part man, or to cast magic spells–the greatest power is the power to create. Daniel X has that power.
Daniel’s secret abilities–like being able to manipulate objects and animals with his mind, or to recreate himself in any shape he chooses, have helped him survive. But Daniel doesn’t have a normal life. He is the protector of the earth, the Alien Hunter, with a mission beyond what anyone’s imagining…
That’s right, action, adventure and mystery all in one book. Take a peek at Amazon.com and if you have a teenager that would enjoy reading this book, order it. I highly recommend it!
