My domain went down today due to a DNS error. I was tired of waiting so I decided to start up this blog with my new skin. This is not yet it (the one with the lovely toe-socks) but I will have the new one up very soon. This will have to do. I’m hoping I can get this up and transfer the posts over. Who knows.
Tonight we celebrate my son’s 14th birthday at a restraunt here in town. One of my favorites. It’s right by the river and you can see the mountains around you. The atmosphere is nice and the food excellent. We are pretty frugal, usually, and don’t go out to eat at this restraunt very often. My parents are in town from Texas so we thought we’d celebrate in style!
I enjoy it when they come visit. I used to have problems dealing with family and later, realized, alot of the issues were my own fears. Now that much of that has been worked through — it’s a much more enjoyable experience to have them stay in my home here in Colorado. They drove up from Texas, my home-state.
I wished my brother and his family would come visit sometime. I would like to see my husband’s family visit more too. Maybe as they get things organized in their lives, they’ll take the time to vacation. I know how hard that can be. Now, I feel we’re on ‘eternal’ vacation at times. It’s wonderful!
